Application Details

Screw, nail or connector is used during the fixation of ODE OSB Board. The application of fixation units that are corrosion proof directly affects the useful life of connected boards. In the carrier constructions, employment of corrosion proof carrier units shall be warranted.

The attention drawing decorative view of the emery OSB boards also affects the application of the boards. The application of gloss, varnish or other protective material application infiltrates to the spaces on the surface and cause the excelsior bits to be decomposed. Such a condition shall be deemed as a natural case for the OSB which a 100% natural material. Processing of non-emery boards' surfaces and application of water based materials may cause the boards to bloat. Before the application of varnish processing, the surfaces shall be clean, dry and rubbed with emery. It is strongly recommended that before the application of a varnish system, a varnish trial shall be applied to a sample.

Cutting, emery and holing

ODE OSB Board can be easily cut, milled, and be fixed with cuffs. The cutting of OSB Boards can be done with all types of available forest products hand tools.

Conservation, storing and transportation of ODE OSB Boards

ODE OSB Boards are conserved in pallets. Boards' ends are covered with card boards and the pallets containing ribbed-bushed boards are fully covered with kraft card boards.

The foreheads of the boards being the most susceptible parts shall be strictly conserved from water.

Complete attention must be drawn to the sides of the boards (especially in ribbed-bushed boards) during loading and unloading. Extra protection must be provided to side bands when the transportation distance is long or storage will be long term.

Boards shall be stacked neatly horizontally on sufficient number of proper crutches (distance to be maximum 600mm) or shall be kept in original pallets. It shall be considered that in case of exposure to direct contact of sun light and UV lights, the colors may change in time.

The condition explained above shall be taken into consideration during both the application of these boards for decorative use and during storage. However, the change of color on the surface of OSB Board by no means has any affect to the technical specifications of the board or to the quality of the board.
