Shingle Length Calculation
1. Roof Area Calculation
In order to simplify calculations, it is possible to demote the roof shapes to geometric shapes. (Triangle, square, rectangular etc.)
2. Shingle Calculation
Roof plain area x incline coefficient x 1,02 (2% waste) = Area
3. Ridge Calculation
Ridge length x 0,30 x 1,15 (15% waste) = Ridge area
4. Brook Calculation
Ridge length x 0,40 x 1,20 (20% waste) = Brook area
5. Nail Calculation
Total shingle m2 x 100 gr / m2
6. Mastic Calculation
The total area mastic will be applied x 50 gr / 300 gr = cartridge number
7. Ventilation Chimney Calculation
Calculated so as 4 units are used in 100 m2
Roof Incline
Roof incline is linked to the shape of the roof.
For the standard shingle application, intense inclines are between 17° - 80°.
1- Plain Roof: Roofs with incline up to 5° degrees.
2- Medium Inclined Roof: Roofs with incline between 5° to 40° degrees.
3- Steep Roof: Roofs with incline higher than 40°.
