Matters to be considered to during ODE MEMBRAN, Transport, STORAGE and Application

ODE MEMBRAN Polymer Bituminous membranes are put on market in accordance with TS 11758 - 1 through the tests done at ODE Quality Laboratories in raw material procuration, whole production process and post-production process. For the products dispatched from the ODE stocks to maintain the same quality after the application, taking the following points into consideration will be advantageous.

  • ODE MEMBRAN rolls should be protected from direct sun light during storage and transport. They shouldn't be stored under direct sun light for a long time.
  • They should be kept away from the environments which can constitute high temperatures under them during the storage such as dark coloured covers. At products which can easily reach to the temperatures over +70°C within shrink packaging, it may cause adherence of lower and upper parts of roll and having problem in opening of the roll. Undesired superficial appearance deformities subject to the high temperature may occur. In cases where the temperature is high, holes should be opened upon the shrink packaging or entire of the packaging should be removed.
  • Product packages should be stored over a flat plane during transport and stock, shouldn't be exposed to point charge effects that may cause the rolls to change shape (For example, they should be strictly binded with a rope during the carriage and storage).
  • During the storage, maximum two packages can be put one over the other and a rigid material should be placed between these two packages.
  • ODE MEMBRAN rolls shouldn't be stored under +5°C and in open areas receiving rain during the storage. These undesired conditions may lead to appearance deformities in polyethylene film surface which are present coated to roll surfaces.
  • In the applications to be made in regions having hot climate, usage of time intervals which the temperature is low during the day is recommended.
  • In the applications to be made at low temperatures, the products should be stored over +5°C at least for 24 hours; shouldn't be exposed to external factors in the application area.
  • It should be taken into consideration that the internal layers belonging to the roll which has been under the effect of low temperatures at night will be at low temperature although the external environment temperature increases and problem may be experienced in opening of the roll.
  • For making the application without problem at low temperatures, the application of the products which have been stocked over +5°C at least for 24 hours should be provided as soon as possible after taking out to the application area.
  • ODE MEMBRAN products which can be used compatibly with the structure materials should be kept away from all components containing solvent, petroleum derivatives containing solvent, bleaching and abrasive chemical substances.
  • In cases where the auxiliary products in ODE MEMBRAN application don't belong to the brand of ODE, it should be consulted to the manufacturers’ declaration of the said materials for the conformity with ODE MEMBRAN.
